New England Weather

05/09/2008 - The rain never stops.  At least that's what it feels like.  For the astronomer (amateur or professional) you need clear skies.  More than that you need clear, dark, and steady skies.  Here in New England we don't get that often, and it seems that when we do it's a full moon or there is nothing interesting in the skies.  Of course right now there is something interesting in the skies.  We have Mercury rising in the west and Saturn overhead.  But we can't see them.  At least not today.  Tomorrow is looking promising, but Clear Sky Clock is telling us it will be a rain out.  Time will tell.  Let's hope for the best.
