5/27/2007 - Finalizing the Tailgate and 18-point Flotation Cell

When I visit my brother's next and build the mirror box, we will then need to do a quick focal length test with the rough mirror box. This means that the Tailgate and 18-point Flotation Cell will need to be completed. Here are the last steps in that process.

ENTRY PICTURES

CAD template for the muffin fan plate. Yours truly measuring out the 2 inch nylon sling for mounting to the split bolts. Note the plywood mirror "blank". Simple yet very effective, the mirror clips. These stop the mirror from bouncing up and out of the cell when in transit. Simple turnbuckle ends with rubber heat-shrink tube over the threads. Completed cell, sling NOT in place around mirror blank.
