The scope is fully assembled for the FIRST TIME!!! This is where all the math, preparation, design and work in regards to smooth motion, solid structure and balance will show a beautiful success or a heart-breaking failure.

Here I'm rough mounting the nice, solid maple pole seats and my brother and I start installing the truss poles. Remember, these were cut a couple inches too long and we will go through the process of trimming them about 1/4 inch at a time while testing various eyepieces until we have the correct length. Thanks to Tom for letting me borrow a wide assortment of various manufacturer ep's for this task!

Um, WOW! Here I am aligning for the telescope's first target....the MOON. It was out during daylight and we wanted to get those poles trimmed.
